Northwind field guide
Jordan Hale
$1,800. Delivered 3 October, 6:10pm, with the file. Twelve pages, type locked 18 September, his copy as edited, links checked that afternoon.
Out of this pass: a second chapter, print specs, and the confirmation email. He wrote at 11:40pm anyway: "one thing, can you also look at the confirmation email." I did not answer until morning.
Sent with the PDF:
Jordan,
The file is Northwind-field-guide-v3.pdf, in this thread and in the drive folder I linked on 1 October.
Done means that PDF. Twelve pages, the type we locked on 18 September, your copy as edited, links checked this afternoon. It does not mean a second chapter, a print-ready package, or a pass on the confirmation email.
Open it in a current browser, or in Acrobat. The next step is yours. Send it, or mark the one page that is factually wrong. I am next available Tuesday 7 October, by email, between 9 and 5.
If nothing is factually wrong, you do not need to reply. The job is closed.

Morning reply to the 11:40pm note. Not sent at 11:40.
Jordan,
The confirmation email is outside this pass. I can take it as a new piece for $350, start Tuesday 7 October. The field guide is already in the thread, as sent.

I left it until morning because a night reply becomes the new office hours. I also did not "just look." One look is how a second chapter shows up unpaid on a Friday and gets called a tweak.
Adapt: Name the file, what done includes, and what it does not, in that order. If done lives only in your head, they will invent a new one overnight.
Adapt: Put the day you are actually next available in the note. A blank day comes back as "you around?"
Adapt: For a client who does not write at night, delete the parked reply. Do not send it early. It reads like you expected them to push.
